We discuss new flooring, damaged boards, stair refurbishment and the adjoining skirting and trims as parts of the same project. Existing floor condition and the transitions between rooms help define the carpentry needed.
Your material choice should be considered alongside the existing floor structure and the finish you want. We can discuss solid timber, veneered or engineered products and laminate options against the project brief. Stair work may involve changes to individual timber elements or a wider redesign, with the scope established from the existing arrangement and relevant drawings.

If damage extends beneath the boards or the proposed change affects structural timber, the assessment and any design or engineering input need to be included before the scope is finalised.

Can you replace damaged timber floorboards?
Yes. The condition of the boards and accessible supporting timber needs to be checked. Matching existing boards depends on their size, profile, material and available replacements.
Can floors and stairs be included in a renovation?
Yes. We can discuss their sequence alongside doorways, skirting, cabinetry and other work so the scope accounts for the adjoining details.
Do you work with flooring other than solid timber?
We welcome enquiries about engineered or veneered flooring and laminate as well as solid timber. Share the product details so its suitability and installation requirements can be discussed.
What affects the cost of staircase work?
The existing layout, access, material choice, extent of replacement and any design or structural changes affect the quotation. Photographs and drawings help establish the starting point.
